Passion Flower Passion Fruit

A native of Brazil, the Passion Fruit, Passiflora edulis, and called 'Maracujá' by the Brazilians, ripens to a light yellow - there is also a purple-coloured variety. Reputedly, its juice makes you sleepy!

Cirigüela
Cirigüela, Spondias purpurea, when yellow and ripe, is used for making fruit juice and jelly, and for medicinal purposes.
Brazil is the largest coffee-producing country in the world, growing both Coffea arabica and robusta. Here is the wonderful sight of coffee on the tree rather
than in a jar!
Coffee not quite ready for picking!
