Duranta erecta
The flowers of Duranta erecta (syn. D. repens) are followed by yellow fruits, about a centimetre across, giving rise to one of the plant's names, Golden Dewdrop. Other names include Pigeon Berry and Sky Flower, and for the
Brazilians, 'Violeteira'.
Although Ixora coccinea is a native of India and Sri Lanka, it is well-adapted to Brazil, being grown in borders or as hedges. Ixoras range in colour from red, through pink, orange and yellow to white.
